Downtown Disney New Years Eve 2023 – And you better believe it’s going to be a BIG year for Disney World. We have opened new attractions, new restaurants on the way up, and hotel renovations on the way. There is so much anticipation! But first, we have to count down to the New Year… and if you’re celebrating New Year’s at Disney World, here’s your complete guide!
Let’s start with these park lessons! Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be business as usual, open from 8:00am. to 8 p.m. Hollywood Studios will be open from 8:30am. to midnight, while EPCOT has operating hours from Until. 1 a.m. The Magic Kingdom will also be open from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m.

Parks open until midnight often have countdowns and special parties, but more on that in a minute!
June 2023 At Disney World (crowd Calendar, Choosing Parks, + Tips)
On New Year’s Eve, most of the regular nighttime shows will still take place in the parks, although their show times may be different than usual. Hollywood Studios will have a fantastic World of Animation at 9pm, in addition to Fantasmic! at 20:00 and 21:30.
At EPCOT, Harmonious premieres at 6:30 PM instead of the usual time of 9:00 PM. The Magic Kingdom will not show Disney Enchantment on New Year’s Eve, but will have Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks at 6:30 and 11:50 p.m., leading to a countdown to 2023.
Disney hasn’t announced the details of the entertainment, but we’ve seen special countdowns at EPCOT and Hollywood Studios in the past, sometimes with added fireworks. In 2021, EPCOT even had dance parties with DJs stationed around the World Showcase in the evenings.
More Than 25 Ways To Celebrate New Year’s Eve In The Orlando Area
Remember that a Disney Park Pass reservation is still required to enter a Disney World theme park. Currently, park passes are fully reserved for Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, but there are still some available for Animal Kingdom. All parks are available for annual passes, but this likely won’t last long!
You may be able to park the hoppers at 2pm if you have a Park Hopper ticket. So if Animal Kingdom is your only option for a park pass, feel free to hop over to one of the later open parks, provided Park Hopping is available that day. If you would like to check availability for a day of Park Hopping, remember to call the hotline at (407) 560-5000.
We’ve already started seeing 2023 merchandise at Disney World, but in the past we’ve also seen New Year’s merchandise on the same day. Sometimes Disney gives out freebies like hats, and you can also often buy special shiny souvenirs like light up glasses.

Finally, we have to talk about snacks! Typically, there are limited hours on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Eve around the parks and resorts. The list often contains some special cookies!
A holiday dining guide may be released a few days in advance, but if not, we will be looking at quick service locations around the parks and resorts. Looking forward to!
New Year’s Eve With Hilton: 6 Fabulous Ways To Ring In 2023
La Cava del Tequila in EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion is hosting a SPECIAL daytime event on New Year’s Eve that will include an agave tasting. The tasting, which costs $300, starts at 11:30 a.m. on new Years Eve. Interested guests must make reservations as places are limited. To reserve, email [email protected].
And at the House of Blues in Disney Springs, DJ Rincon will be spinning some tracks from 22:00! The event is FREE, but VIP packages are available. Get more details on the House of Blues website here!
